  • Disabled people and whānau can contact Whakarongorau Aotearoa, New Zealand Telehealth Services if you need support on 0800 111 213, Text 8988. Or access it with the New Zealand Relay Service at www.nzrelay.co.nz.
  • For mental distress you can call or text 1737 to speak to a free counsellor, 24/7.

  • Check with your local school or early learning service to confirm opening dates / hours and facilities.
  • Where possible, take pets with you if you have to evacuate. 
  • Where possible, move livestock away from waterways or low lying ground.
