Prior to Inland Revenue changing its computer system, income tax refunds were paid into the Sudburys Trust Account before being transferred into client bank accounts. This was the fastest way for clients to receive payment. The new changes made by Inland Revenue mean income tax refunds are now paid faster and directly into the bank account provided by the client.

You can check whether you have received an income tax refund by logging into your MyIR account. You can also change the bank account selected for refunds by going to Details > Update refund bank account.

If you don’t have a MyIR account click on the button below to find out how to set one up.

If you don’t have access to the internet and want to check on a refund or bank account details, please call us on 09 430 4888.

If the refunded deposit differs from the amount detailed in your income tax return, please call us so we can follow up with Inland Revenue. It is important we investigate any discrepancies to ensure you avoid potential penalties or interest charges.
